Single Estate, Hand-Crafted Mornington Peninsula Wines
Silverwood is a small boutique vineyard located at Balnarring on the Mornington Peninsula. Our goal is to produce the highest quality chardonnay and pinot noir - benchmarks for these wines and this region. We want our wines to express the uniqueness, 'terroir', of our site; its soils, maritime cool climate and warm northernly aspect. The result is wines of great character.
The classic pinot noir and chardonnay wines come from Burgundy, France. We are growing these classic grape varieties and clones we selected have been developed in Burgundy. It is therefore inevitable that comparisons will be made between Burgundy and any region that grows quality Pinot and Chardonnay and while we are not trying to emulate their style, we will strive to develop some of the best characteristics of classic pinot noir and chardonnay wines. In particular we will be aiming for more power and length of palate. We hope you will enjoy Silverwood wines and follow the improvements and changes over the seasons ahead.
